ABOUT US

We started Divvy Desk in October of 2017 with one goal in mind: to create a space with the digital creative in mind.  Justin Peay, a wedding filmmaker, had gone full-time freelance at the beginning of the year after working with creative teams in various different environments for 12 years.  Sean Fox, a designer, worked with Justin for most of those 12 years and was starting to transition into a freelance role as well.  Both saw the value of working in a creative environment.  Both saw the value of working together.

Justin and Sean had talked about opening up a shared office space for years but never found the right time.  As most of us know, there never is "the perfect time" to start your dream.  So Justin put an offer on a space that was on the market for almost 8 years.  The owners took his first offer, and after four months of much needed renovation, Divvy Desk was open for business on February 5, 2018.

Divvy Desk thrives on community.  The beauty of a shared office space is it can have a creative veteran with 20 years of experience sitting next to a fresh-out-of-college graduate.  Both have something to share: knowledge.  When we sit in our home offices, away from human interaction, we believe that every idea is a good idea.  And that's simply not true.  As much as you'd hate to admit it, you know it's not true.  We pride ourselves in offering an environment that encourages conversations that allow us to help develop our ideas.

We believe that community benefits more than just our professional lives.  We hope that our members develop relationships that filter into their personal lives as well. For the little time that Divvy Desk has been open, the members have cultivated lasting friendships that expand beyond the 9 to 5.

If you're looking for a space that will challenge and encourage you, stop by and take a tour.  You will be greeted by quality people with quality ideas.
